Axis Insurance can trace its roots back over a century, and is continually expanding through acquisitions. But their website was painfully outdated and nearly impossible for their team to update, so their offering wasn’t accurately represented. Rebuilding on Refoundry empowered the Axis marketing team to take total control over every aspect of their website—within the visual editor.
Now they can add new products and industry specialities using custom templates, but still edit the layouts and styles per page. They can quickly create new pages by copy/pasting whole sections from other pages, or using layouts from the Component Library.

The key to conversion for Axis is helping users quickly connect with one of their experts. With such a huge company and an evolving offering, they needed a straightforward—and easily maintained—method to associate team members with insurance products.
The site’s redesign and rebuild utilized a team member post type plus a combination of WordPress taxonomies, Refoundry Query Blocks, Refoundry Post Loop components, and other responsive template parts from the Component Library. Now, adding, removing, or changing a team member is automatically reflected on all relevant pages that are configured to feature team members that match specific taxonomies.
Navigation
Flexible, scalable menus.
Another aspect of the site that’s greatly impacted by an ever-changing team and offering is the menus. Usually WordPress navigational elements are hard-coded, and non-developers can only add or remove items from existing menus. Not with Refoundry!
Axis’s marketing team can also easily edit the primary and footer menus in the visual editor, the same way they would edit any other page or post. This way they can tweak layouts, styles, and settings as needed to ensure the menus always look good and function well.
